Our Story
CraftKrewe was founded in Youngsville, LA in 2025 with one purpose: to empower young entrepreneurs to create a sweet life through hands-on creativity, personal growth, and real-world skill building.
Every Krewe member crafting and selling the items in our store is working toward one or more sweet fundraising goals—from school activities to community programs, church events, and personal development opportunities.
When you support CraftKrewe, you’re not just buying something locally handmade — you’re uplifting young creators, inspiring confidence, encouraging creativity, fostering community involvement, and sparking the entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation.
Our Name
Our name is inspired by the neighborhood where our founding members live — Sugar Ridge, a community nestled among the sugar cane fields of Youngsville, Louisiana, where life is sweeter. We also were inspired by the message in the book The Festival at Sugar Ridge: that each of us has a unique and special creativity. We don’t need to wait until we are “good at something” to express it — creativity blooms through trying, doing, and sharing, and along the way we may inspire others to discover their own.
CraftKrewe reflects who we are: a group that loves to come together, create, and make a positive impact. We craft beautiful things, but we also craft community by supporting and participating in local school activities, church events, and community volunteer opportunities. Through hands-on entrepreneurship and fundraising, our Krewe turns creativity into meaningful contribution, personal development, and life long skills.
